Bird's-eye view

Silly pun title, once again.

Human skelworm

After drawing this I had the feeling I already saw something similar somewhere, but was unable to find it. I guess it's just a mix of a human skull + an Alien-inspired tail, or something.

Knot a dragon...

Ugh, horrible pun. It only has 2 paws so it looks like a mix of snake and dragon, maybe... My previous attempts (of completely different drawings) were failures, so this final one was done in a rush as I was getting annoyed.

Carved lotus

Funny, the texture of the paper makes it look a little like a stone carving. Just a little.

On other news, I may change the "pace" of that blog from one post every Sunday to one post every 2 Sundays... I'm really out of ideas for tattoos design at the moment. I wasn't even inspired by halloween (maybe because it's not celebrated here). Instead I'm having fun doing ugly gouache paintings, and it seems to take almost all the inspiration/motivation I have.

Another vertical tribal tattoo

Vertical tribal tattoo design

I was a bit out of ideas lately, so tadaaa... a tribal flash.

It's funny to think I started to draw this kind of stuff some 15 years ago when I was in secondary school. At that time I thought there was only 2 types of tattoos in the world : tribals and the crappy prison/army tattoos worn by some adults I knew (ugly cross, lion, naked chick, knife... bleh.)

Shell

One of those time, when I start to draw without knowing what I'm doing. Not sure I like it that much, but I was a bit out of time.

Mjölnir

So... I wanted to do something simple, with just flat colours, no shading. Of course, things never happen exactly how I want them ^^'.

Mjölnir / Thor's Hammer

On a side note, look at this, these are some great hammer pendants (I especially like the one on top, it's way more "nordic" than my version) http://varglya.blogspot.com/2010/07/recent-works-more-carvings.html

Science & Knowledge

I wanted to try to do some lettering. I wasn't sure what words to choose, but after seeing so many "faith" and "believe" tattoos, I opted for those words that seems less common ;) (well, actually there's quite an amount of very nice science related tattoos, from equations to artistic rendition of electrons etc.).

Fabric butterfly

Hm, not sure about the kind of lace thing. Not much inspiration lately, I promise, I'll try to do better next Sunday ^^'.

Rose heart

I have the feeling I already saw something like this somewhere (probably better, this was done without reference so the shading is a bit weird)

Engraved stone

Hmm, a pocket sized Newgrange stone? :)

And in case you wondered, the last doodles on coloured background were actually done on some coloured note paper, the small (9x9cm) kind. It's nice for small designs.

Steamoboros

So, if you mix the steampunk cogwheels and the Ouroboros symbol, you get...

Mecha-triquetra...

... or whatever you want to call it =p.

Just a quick one, once again (where the heck is my inspiration gone?!)
